I am 21 years old and currently a Business and Commerce student majoring in Economics and Accounting at the University of Auckland. I am well into my third year of studying and am on track to graduate midway through 2025. Being a diligent and driven worker, I thrive in environments where I can acquire further knowledge and excel in team-based settings. I value my time management skills and always have elevated expectations for myself and my work.
My social activities include playing football at club and consistent training at the gym. These experiences have strengthened my teamwork, discipline, and goal-setting abilities, which directly contribute to my academic and professional growth.
This role was instrumental in my personal and professional development as it marked my first employment experience. I gained numerous skills and knowledge during this period. Initially starting as standard team member, I quickly learned how to engage in positive customer service, serving products, and cleaning the store. In achieving such tasks effectively, I earned a promotion at the end of 2020 to a store manager and key holder. In taking on this new role, I had to learn new tasks such as managing the register, training new staff, and opening and closing the store. I took on such responsibilities with an open mind and didn't look back.
Starting a new job after spending three years at my previous one posed a significant challenge. Fortunately, my prior experience in customer service, teamwork, and inventory management proved to be valuable skills that eased the transition. Using this existing knowledge, I quickly adapted and hit the ground running. After almost two years at PAK'nSAVE, I've assumed additional responsibilities and enjoy assisting new workers in their smooth integration into the company.
