Over the past year I have worked on over 100 sites, through working I have developed and advanced in many essential skills and qualities a drain layer needs. These being truck driving, driving with trailer on, being familiar with various types of machinery such as, plate compacters, mixers, track dumpers, concrete saw, power tools, etc.

• Installed underground drainage systems, including manholes and catch basins.
• Inspected existing drainage systems to identify problems and create solutions.
• Utilized laser-leveling equipment to ensure proper grading of the land around pipes or drains.
• Repaired broken or damaged drainpipes using appropriate repair methods such as patching, soldering, epoxy coating.
• Coordinated with other contractors who may have been involved in projects requiring multiple tradespeople.
• Adhered to company equipment policies and safety procedures to avoid accidents and mishaps.

I worked this Job for around 6 months and learnt a lot about physical labour and teamwork. I worked many jobs outdoors and acquired skills from coworkers and my boss.

• Maintained and operated lawn care equipment such as mowers, trimmers, edgers, blowers, and hedge clippers.
• Transported plants, turf and other materials to designated areas for installation.
• Inspected property for signs of damage or infestation from pests or weeds.
• Built retaining walls using stones or bricks for stability purposes.
• Pruned trees, shrubs, hedges, bushes and vines to enhance their growth patterns.
• Performed routine maintenance of irrigation systems including repairs when needed.
• Operated machinery such as bobcats or tractors when necessary.
