Summary

My studies have nurtured a passion for litigation, corporate law, and contract, which I am excited to further develop alongside a supportive team who will help push me toward excellence. I have tailored my studies to enhance my knowledge in these areas of law and find genuine interest their contents.

Participating in legal competitions throughout my time at university has been a highlight of my education. These experiences have cultivated my confidence, provided me with strong advocacy skills, and required me to balance multiple important tasks, and commitments efficiently.

I highly value collaborating with a talented team and being part of a culture that encourages growth. My ideal team challenges me to be better and supports me in achieving that goal. I do not only want to succeed individually, but also wish to contribute to a thriving legal practice and help others do the best they can as well.

Outside of my legal interests, I maintain an active lifestyle through kickboxing, running, and fishing. Keeping active helps me to avoid burnout and stay focused on my work. I look forward to bringing enthusiasm, dedication, and my individual experiences to a forward-thinking firm.

  • Together with my moot partner, I created strong appellate level legal arguments for two complex legal issues. Our arguments saw us progress through a number of rounds before being selected for the finals.
  • These submissions were then delivered orally at the Dunedin High Court before a panel of judges including Justice Graham Lang, Dr Simon Connell, and Sophie East.
  • During this event I was able to demonstrate my excellent advocacy skills under significant pressure, as well as proving my ability to grasp new legal concepts within a short period of time.
