- Liaising with our traffic response units and emergency services for all network related incidents or planned events using wireless radio transmission and ERoad.
- Delegating with Planned works team and Wellington Transport Alliance for understanding the upcoming roadworks, the type of traffic management to be activated and duration of the works.
- Creating a Communications Plan for all the planned roadworks and event there by assisting in updating accurate information on journey planner and on the VMS road signs using DYNAC.
- Making sure the assets in fault are faulted appropriately with Downer ITS, Armitage and Fujitsu for ontime resolution.
- Engaging with the STMS to understand the type of roadwork that will be active and making sure they are timely monitored using FLIR cameras and updating the road signs thereby providing accurate information to the road users.
- Reviewing all incidents that may have affected the State Highway networks closely, either by cameras or comminucation with NOC contractors or Emergency services and making sure the incident is managed and create debriefs as the significance of the incident, which is later sent out to all our business partners, which assist us in understanding the rights and wrongs in managing that particular incident and how we do it better the next time.
- Road and Tunnel management, including closing and reopening of them using Kapsch DYNAC.
- Engaging closely with WTA in understanding risk prone areas on SH network and creating a plan that will ensure road user safety.
