- As in this role site engineer / labour I was getting training as a site engineer like checking the team health and safety, identifying the existing services using the dig permits. and explain the dig permit to the crew and worked around the live services. (Water, chorus, power lines)
- I was involved in various piritahi sites where we laid CST services (hydro, power, telecoms, stormwater under channel pipe)
- I was in the ground doing labor help for the crew while laying these services which include:
- Checking the heights while trenching using LASER levels.
- Helping in laying pipes and spacing them according to the dig permits
- Raking fines during backfilling (mat slab, warning tapes)
- Compaction after backfilling using compactor.
- Other activities include shovelling, hand dig, fencing site.
