Animal health: Monitoring cows for any sick cows, injured cows, mastitis. When found I treated them accordingly. Feeding cows as required weather it be feeding out silage/maize or setting up paddocks for them to go to.

Milk quality: Keeping the shed clean during milking and ensuring the cows are clean to milk also cleaning the milking plant and vat to keep sanitized and clean.

Machine maintenance and operation: I can drive a tractor, 2 wheeler bike, 4 wheeler bike, manuals, telehandler, feed out wagon/bale feeder, spray unit on tractor and bikes. Oil and greasing all machinery.

Staff management: I would need to manage relief staff that would come in to relief milk from advertising for staff to organising interviews/trials then working with them making sure they are doing things correctly teaching when needed.

Managing calfs and cow numbers through calving. Managing herds through calving, calving cows, treating down cows.

Milking 1000 cows in rotary shed.

Setting up paddocks

General farm duties.

Milking 1500 cows in a 50 bale rotary.

Shed maintenance: Fixing airlines, any broken rubbers or pipes that came off, broken strings for automatic cup removers. Cleaning shed, waterblasting, spraying c3.

Cleaning the machine and vat ensuring everything was working properly and going through the plant.

Restocking when cleaning chemicals or anything in the shed was low.

All cow treatments, drafting, recording/ bookwork.

General farm duties: Weed spraying, fixing fences, topping, fixing water leaks.

Horse care: grooming, cleaning feet, checking horses for any injuries/ illness which these would get reported to manager who would generally treat the horses.

Loading horses onto trucks to go to the race track or to the sales.

leading horses where ever they needed to go. Putting on halter and bit. Parading horses at sales or for owners.

Feeding horses, putting on covers, saddles, bridals, swimming horses.

Mucking out stables and organising farm while horses and other staff are at the track.
