  • I have a love of gardening which I love to pass on this to the tamariki. It is a great way for them to learn about the world around them.
  • Messy play helps tamariki to gain confidence in and control of their own bodies, including active exploration with all the senses and the use of tools, materials and equipment to extend skills.
  • Tamariki learn through their play and I will supply them with new different activities for them tom explore
  • Tamariki need to be supported to be ready for school and part of this is supplying them with the opportunity to learn to be learn to care for themselves. Learning to dress themselves, to keep themselves clean (hand washing, going to toilet etc.) Part of this is having a lunch box day where the children learn how to open their box, to what to eat first. It helped run a be ready program at ABC for the older tamariki, where they were invited to come and do letters or numbers. This helped them learn at their pace, as well as when they wanted too.
