• Company history – Higgins purchased Oldfields Ltd and later Higgins was purchased by Fletcher
• Engaged in all sorts of road works around the Wellington Region from road dig outs, pre-work to road formation
• Stock piling, loading and dumping at tip sites
• As an experienced and skilled operator I was involved in all type digger work and heavy machine equipments
• Following rules and regulations under NZ health and Safety act

• I was engaged in operating 3 – 4 tonne excavators on the streets of Upper Hutt City digging out existing kerbs and channels and the sub base material under them, often in the vicinity of underground services
• I have also driven tip trucks, carting soil to tip sites and collecting road materials from various suppliers.
• I also assisted with the laying of asphaltic concrete paving for the reinstatement of roadway surfaces.

• Dayals Quarries Ltd – Mainly operated Kato Excavator at project sites and demonstrated all aspects of excavation works. During my employment with Dayals I was also engaged in driving heavy goods trucks.
• T.F.J Bulldozing Company Ltd – Operated Kato 770 & Hitachi UH0121 – PC 400 machines and I was also a respected truck driver.

The company contracts were mainly with Fiji Public Works Department commonly known as PWD.
