I have been an enrolled nurse since 1992. I have worked for Counties Manukau District Health Board for the last 39 years. I worked in an Orthopaedic and Rheumatology ward in Middlemore Hospital for 12 years before moving to the Otorhinolaryngology Outpatient Clinic in the Manukau Super Clinic in 2004. I consider myself a hard-working Enrolled Nurse who is responsible for the tasks given. I work under the direction and delegation of a Registered Nurse I am patient and whanau-focused and practice cultural safety with patients and families. I have a wide variety of responsibilities throughout my position, which are; to take care of the suspension list of patients of three different clinicians and run pre-admission clinics. I am a team player and carry out my work effectively as a resource person for the team, taking care of the equipment, in particular the Nasal Endoscope and towers. I also help with FPIM ordering when my colleagues are away only. I am responsible for the equipment needed to deliver the outcome required by the Team. I am an accomplished nurse and my goal is to maintain my level and skills for the future years until my retirement.
