• I took time off to look after our four children, and as a family we relocated to the UAE then The Netherlands to accommodate a new career opportunity for my spouse. While managing the logistics of our move, and embracing the different cultures and languages, I also worked as a volunteer teacher aid and librarian. Five years later when we returned, I did my "Back to Nursing" training at North Shore Hospital.

• Moved to London for 3yrs, worked as an agency nurse for a while with "Pulse" but eventually stayed permanent at the Heart Hospital
• After having a good understanding of the medical side of cardiology, I now took a role in the surgical side.
• Responsible for underwater seal drains (UWSD) Epidurals, PCAs and removal of temporary pacing wires (TPW) and Chest Drains
• Supported patients through recovery from procedures such as bypass, angioplasty, and pacemaker surgery.
