I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, majoring in Counseling, and am a registered Social Worker. I have been in the family harm sector for 17 years. I started my role as a Social worker at Family Action 15 years ago with my student placement through UNITEC and continuing in various professional roles ever since.
My early work involved frontline crisis support as part of the Outreach team, where I provided immediate assistance to individuals and families experiencing family violence. Two years ago, I transitioned into the role of Choice Coordinator, where we go through the assessment process and coordinate services that support clients on their journey toward safety and recovery.
Throughout my career, I have remained deeply committed to empowering women, children, and families impacted by family violence. My practice is grounded in compassion, cultural sensitivity, and a strong belief in the importance of trauma-informed care.
