Summary

An enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and relational teacher of English. I have been Assistant Head of Department since the start of 2025. In my leadership role, I have been responsible for course planning, organising data, resourcing and running tutorials. I bring both local and international teaching experience, having taught ESOL in Germany and English in New Zealand under the NCEA system. I believe in creating inclusive, high-expectation classrooms where all learners can succeed. With experience leading Scholarship English and supporting students through co-requisite literacy programmes, I am committed to professional growth and the holistic development of students, both academically and personally. I am also heavily involved in the school community, both sporting and cultural. I am now seeking to bring this commitment to a kura that values integrity, generosity of spirit, and student-centred learning.
