Cheese making workshop assistant

I have recently been employed as a casual worker to be an assistant during cheese making classes.

  • My role consists in helping organise and prepare the kitchen ready for the workshops the day before.
  • I assist with the different phases of the cheese making process during the class talking with the group when required.
  • I also help preparing the cheese platters and serve them to the group attending.
  • Part of the role will be to take stock inventory, prepare printed material and package Cheese making kits, understand and learn food safety standards to perform food preparation and waitressing at dedicated local events.
  • I will also participate in promotional events like the AMP show communicating with visitors on the stand, showcasing the business and prospecting for new clients.


Karate Sempai

I have been practicing karate for the last 4 years.

  • Since 2024 I have done internal courses to be a Sempai, which is a junior instructor assisting the senior Senseis during classes.
  • I can take the warm up sessions at the start of classes on my own since the last 6 months.
  • I also assist with teaching in class doing demonstrations, rectifying positions and helping everyone with understanding technique purposes.
  • I take smaller groups of white and yellow belts on my own teaching them the basic skills and moves.

Volunteer on Market Stalls

Local Farmer's Market
2023 - Current
  • I volunteer on 2 stalls at the local Farmer's market sometimes on Friday mornings.
  • I assist with the local bakery stalls, the local homemade lavender products, and have also helped the local vegetable grower with selling Swan plants around Christmas time.
  • I have volunteered to harvest and help extract lavender oil for better process and product knowledge.
  • I help on these stalls with customer service, product recommendations and payments.

Beekeeper

I have learnt to look after hives with my family since 2022.

  • I can now conduct hive inspections, manipulate efficiently brood or honey supers.
  • I can recognize a queenless hive, or signs that the bees are ready to swarm and control it.
  • I can perform various tests for varroa detection, as well as detect signs of varroa and other diseases threatening the hives.
  • I know how to extract honey, apply needed treatment and supplement feed hive as necessary.
  • Last year I learnt how to graft young larvae's and successfully make new queens from a strong hive.
