  • Worked as Associate Partner in Digital Transformation and Delivery group of IBM's Global Centre of Competence for Telecommunication, Media, and Entertainment, providing strategy consulting to IBM Telco clients around the world

My job responsibilities included the following:

  • Contribute to the growth of intellectual capital for the practice and support the development of other consultants through participation in mentoring or coaching activities
  • Establish and maintain deal focused, trusted relationships with clients and partners to scope, solution, propose, close, and deliver complex first-of-a-kind Telco digital transformation projects
  • Establish compelling points of view about how Customer Platform and digital solutions can be used to transform customer engagement and/or various aspects of business operations
  • Achieved IBM 100% club in 2012 – Achieved/ and consulting utilisation targets
  • As part of the Global Centre of Competence consulting engagements worked with Telco clients around the world

Consulting Engagements (some examples)

  • Contact Energy NZ (value ~3.5M) - Customer experience transformation and replacement of GenTrack with SAP suite of solution. Contracted to do the strategy definition for their customer experience at various touch points and digital transformation of back office the client on a global reference visit to to clients in Canada, USA and UK. SAP ERP was selected for replacing the legacy Finance and Asset Management systems and SAP ISU for utilities was selected for replacing the legacy retail systems.
  • Earth Quake Commission EQC (value ~10M) - Implementation of the new EQC claims lodging system and the transformation of the legacy systems. This involved working with partner vendors and EQC business to understand their requirements and providing online claims lodging functions and simplify the claims process
  • DISH 5G, USA (value ~125M) - Implementation of the business strategy, MVNO business models and 5G Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy development and BSS implementation architecture planning for DISH 5G in Denver, CO. Advanced technologies like IoT, Blockchain, AI and RPA are being discussed as part of the solution definition
  • SaskTel Canada (value ~750K) - Digital Transformation Consulting in multiple areas - Product Simplification, Process Simplification, Customer Experience CX/UX strategy implementation
  • eir Ireland (value ~ €600K) - Digital strategy transformation engagement similar to SaskTel example above which included review of their product profiles and processes
  • CSL Hong Kong (value ~ 2M) - Lead Consultant in a consulting engagement for CSK, HK for their technology transformation project. Created requirements and published a detailed RFP in seven business areas. Advanced real time analytics and Next Best Action advice strategies were adopted
  • Telcomsel Indonesia (value ~2M) - IT strategy engagement. Led the Telcomsel IT strategy development defining vision, strategy, Architecture landscape, Technology views and implementation road maps
