To manage site personnel, set up grids and RL’s for steel HD bolt layouts, plan and organise forward workflow daily, along with site crew staffing requirements.
To conduct daily toolbox meetings, project pre-start checks, Task Analysis and erection methodology plans and to record these using the company’s safety software
To carry out full Quality Assurance checks on all erected steel, with particular emphasis on site weld conformation, and overall quality of work.
To induct all new site employees.
To organise and facilitate regular project site safety meetings.
To liaise with the Managing Director and Construction Manager Estimator with regards to work in progress, expected completion dates and longer-range workflow forecasts.
To develop and promote a clear understanding with clients and colleagues through effective communication of requirements, with the purpose of meeting project deadlines and maintaining site efficiency.
To operate mobile cranes to load/unload steel on-site and organise lay down areas and lift plans.
To operate boom lifts, knuckle-booms, gantry, and mobile cranes.
To ensure that all specific site machinery and equipment are maintained, fully functional and always carry relevant current licence or safety certification.
To liaise with suppliers of cranage and all associated site equipment and consumable needs, to co-ordinate the delivery to site and collection at completion of equipment.
To ensure that any non-conformance reports or incident reports are promptly recorded, investigated and reported on.
To check and sign off on time sheets, ensuring that all information is complete and correctly allocated to specific projects.
To be conversant with and maintain a full working knowledge of OSH regulations and Jay Cee Welding operations, with workshop and site safety knowledge being of paramount importance.
To take and pass the requirements for the ASNZ2930 welding certificate of competency test, always ensuring current certification, using mig and stick welders and welding in vertical and down hand positions.
To attend and pass Site Safe Commercial Passport training courses, always maintaining current certification.
