Major Projects Accomplished

• Performed high level Estimation and detailed Design for new 11kV Underground Feeder. The estimated price for this project was $2.5m NZD.
• Performed high level Estimation and detailed Design for Upgrade of 4 x 11kV Feeder cables at Levin West Substation.

• Carry out field visits and survey work, prepare cost estimates for the designed work for electricity connections.
• Prepare Quotation letter for the Departmental/Divisional Head's approval.
• Asses the installation details of an electrical installation on the application forms and calculate the electricity maximum demands.
• Coordinate all process involved in preparing project implementation files for schemes paid by Developers/Applicants.
• Work with the Network Design Engineer/Electrical Engineer with distribution system augmentation works to maintain the voltage within the requirements for the quality and reliability of the supply systems and for future load growth.
• Address safety clearance issue due to power lines close to private/public property or any request for relocation of power supply assets encroaching the properties.
• Carry out safety visits and audit EFL's present network, initiate corrective design work and report accordingly.
• Assist the design and Planning Team in carrying out its role diligently and efficiently.

Major Projects Accomplished

• Carried out Estimation and Design for the 33kV Sub-Transmission line from Rarawai Substation to the proposed site for the Koronubu 132kV/33kV Subststion.

• Work with Draughtsperson and GIS coordinator to produce Generation , Transmission and Distribution network extension and construction drawings according to EFL's design and drawing standards.
• Assist in preparation of conceptual design drawing for various design and construction projects and major projects.
• Produce electrical schematic drawings for zone substations and power stations from designs submitted by Electrical Engineers, in line with internationally approved and adopted drawing standards.
• Update Distribution Network and Transmission Network single line diagrams for commissioning and de-commissioning of plant and extension of Network.
• Assist with GIS data capture activity for EFL's assets, including new overhead lines, underground cable networks and power plants.

• Prepare switching schedules for Network outages, Generator outages, Liveline work, Vegetation management works, Asset Commissioning & De-commissioning and Normalizing of opening points.
• Update Single Line Diagrams using Auto CAD.
• Carry out 33kV and below analysis for Transmission lines, Substation Bus Maintenance, Transformer Maintenance, 33kV & 11kV Breaker Maintenance & Partial 11kV Feeder maintenance and load transfer.
• Carry out monthly audits for permits and switching schedules.
