LEADERSHIP

• Build Effective Teams: I have managed the Pegasus Mental Health Service through a time of expansion and transformation Over the past 5 years we have experienced significant growth in our workforce, involving design and implementation of transformational new models of care, requiring a change in organizational systems and vision I have used my skills in people management to build and revitalize the primary mental health team to become diverse and sustainable with a reputation for providing excellent clinical services I have developed constructive and collaborative relationships with the Pegasus Senior leadership team, CDHB Planning and Funding and other mental health and addictions providers, both locally and nationally
• Drive Vision and Purpose: I demonstrate energy and optimism to motivate my team to work collectively and collaboratively aligned with our organizational strategic vision and values and those of the wider sector I do this by making it clear how staff efforts make a positive difference both directly in the lives of tangata whaiora as well as our organizational health and strategy
• Service Change: I have led significant service change both within primary and secondary organisations Having studied change models and processes at a tertiary level I am confident in implementing change in a practical way to ensure best practice and outcomes for service users
• Courageous: I step up to address difficult issues, and do not avoid crucial conversations I provide coaching and support for team leaders to assist with managing difficult relationships and I have communicated directly where I have witnessed behaviour that is inconsistent with organizational values I am agile and comfortable working with ambiguity

CHANGE MANAGEMENT

• Sector Change: I was responsible for implementation of a new transformational model of care into General Practice across Canterbury This involved significant change in how mental health and wellbeing support is offered to the enrolled population and requires change at all levels of the General Practice team
• Service/Team Change: I am practiced in leading teams to buy into change through shifting the focus from day-to-day activities towards results driven conversations and clear outcome measures

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT AND BUSINESS PLANNING

• Strategic Mindset: I am in a senior leadership role implementing transformational mental health change in service delivery I have implemented these services throughout the primary care network, linking success to regional and national key performance indicators

• Financial Management: I am an experienced manager of budgets and deliverables I undertake monthly analysis and reporting, ensuring that our service is meeting contractual responsibilities I hold myself and my team accountable for the financial and clinical outcomes of our work

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT AND RELATIONSHIPS

• Working with Stakeholders: I have experience working with clients and whanau within a clinical primary mental health setting I have been involved in the establishment and implementation of significant collaborative mental health services in the Greater Wellington Region This has required collaboration in service design
• Collaborative Working: I am experienced and skilled in working collaboratively I have been involved in the development, governance, and leadership of a significant mental health initiative, both in its pilot phase, and more latterly under the Access and Choice programme funded by MOH I have excellent professional relationships and networks within the primary care and mental health and addictions sector at local, regional and national levels

• Cultivate Innovation: As a leader I am passionate about innovation I foster a team environment that encourages creativity and courageous conversations I have led the investment in digital innovation and clinical training to enable our team to deliver best practice care for our tangata whaiora
• Ensure Quality: I am committed to achieving high quality work As the Service Leader for Pegasus Health, I am responsible for ensuring that deliverables are met as well as looking for opportunities to increase the scope of our service
