Respiratory, pain and burns assessment in pediatric department, asthma care and education, eczema dressing, patient and parents’ comfort and education, IV hydration using infusion pump together with the other routine procedures and care as mentioned above. • SKILLS: Admission and discharge procedures with parent education on danger signs, taking 1-4 hourly vitals, 2-4 hourly feeding via feeding cup, nasogastric and orogastric tube, medication administration, management of patients on ventilator, bubble CPAP, oxygen therapy, IV hydration, blood transfusion and phototherapy. Routine personal hygiene, regular suction, reassurance to parents and education on infection control, assisting medical officers with emergencies, procedures like IV cannulation, intubating patients, blood exchange transfusion, taking blood samples, inserting catheters. Have knowledge of setting up and using ventilator, bubble CPAP, infusion pump, photo light, warmer, oxygen cylinder and suction machine, follow up on results, infection control procedures to avoid outbreaks and documentation.
