I have navigated complex issues in my senior leadership roles that necessitates the ability to balance multiple strategic priorities and expectations. I can effectively communicate organisational decisions with clarity that deliver on Our Business, adapting delivery according to the audience. I am also adept at operating effectively with numerous stakeholders to achieve agreed outcomes which has included other government agencies as well as the private sector. My CIB (Detective) experience provides me with the technical knowledge to lead complex criminal investigations and I have a detailed knowledge of the functions and capabilities of Intelligence which gives me the operational skill to deploy resources for the greatest impact. I am politically aware, with a constant thirst for knowledge of political and international affairs. My inclusive leadership style includes being authentic, genuine, honest and showing humility. I am a firm believer that the most important asset in an organisation is their people and their welfare and I thoroughly enjoy enabling people to be the best that they can be. I thrive in an environment where I am working alongside people of different backgrounds, cultures and ability, nurturing and developing professional relationships that deliver long-term and sustainable developments. As a budget holder I am fiscally responsible and accountable & deliver on organisational priorities with high levels of autonomy.


I have always been passionate about progressing my personal & professional development. My coaching roles has exposed me to unique insights, experiences and leadership styles from a diverse group of people within a learning environment. My experience in academic writing styles assist and enable others to adapt their own writing styles, providing support and guidance as necessary. My presentation skills are aimed to engage with participants with humility and respect, recounting experiences of my own to make it a more compelling story. I am a firm believer that adult education stimulates intellectual curiosity, broadens perspectives and enhances critical thinking skills. It provides me with a sense of purpose, satisfaction and self-fulfillment which is a driving factor. I have a passion to contribute to thought leadership and develop emerging leaders that will influence the direction of Policing in a rapidly changing environment where strong leadership is crucial.
