Material Damage Assessor - Recovery

  • Desktop Assessment Claims from Cyclone Gabrielle.
  • Assess and Manage Material Damage claims to determine Policy Response, Prepare Scopes of Works, and determine if Invoices and Quotes from Vendors are Fair and Reasonable Claim Costs. Prepare and manage the repair process up until the claim is settled. Claims are including but not limited too, Farm Buildings, Houses, Bridges, Pumps & Motors, & Boats.

  • The AA role is to support the Assessors in the administrative tasks of a claim up until it can be closed. This includes dealing with Clients and Vendors ensuring we are contacting them and keeping within the Fair insurance Code timeframes, and following Best Practise guidelines. Paying Invoices and making cash settlements to clients. Managing and Progressing claims to settlement.
  • Approved payments and provided back up and managed the Mobile Queue when Senior Assessor Administrator was away.

  • The purpose of the Business Support Consultant Role is to provide administrative tasks for the Sales Team by processing New and existing Business into Policy Centre. and completing policy changes. I also worked closely with Underwriting with the High Loss Ratio Premium sheets by entering premium over rides into Policy Centre. I was also a SME for Policy Centre helping other business units from across the business.
  • During my time in Business Support I started as a Consultant and quickly moved into a Senior Role. I was then seconded into the Coaching Role to train new consultants and the Risk Quality for the Team. After some personal leave I returned to the consultant role and moved into the Life and Health team learning that area of the business.
  • I worked on my Professional Development while in the role and completed the following courses: ANZIIF Introduction to General Insurance, Applying Coaching Fundamentals, Problem Solving 6 Step Process and Business Improvement Training. Agri Womens Development Trust First Steps Course.
