• Practicum at Bambinos Manukau (4 weeks) – Built strong relationships with children, teachers, and families while gaining valuable hands-on experience in an early childhood education setting. Developed confidence in engaging with children and supporting their learning through meaningful interactions.
• Practicum at Finlayson Park Kindergarten (6 weeks) – Focused on implementing Te Whāriki-aligned teaching strategies, observing and assessing children’s learning, and responding to diverse cultural and linguistic needs. Strengthened professional practice by seeking feedback from my Associate Teacher and reflecting on my teaching approaches.
• Practicum at White Heron Learning Centre, Manurewa (7 weeks) – Focused on intentional teaching strategies to support pēpi (infants) in their early development. Applied responsive caregiving techniques, created a nurturing learning environment, and deepened my understanding of infant pedagogy.
