On a professional level, I have been in the teaching fraternity for more than 15 years, mostly spent with upper primary classes. Making a positive impact with my students and my school community is pivotal in my personal and professional journey. I take pride in sharing my passion for learning with students and demonstrate this by being an exemplary learner myself. Helping students develop, learn, and have a positive influence on their peers is also an important task as an educator. It is important that from facilitating peer teaching and assessment with my students in class, they will equip themselves with self-reflection strategies and improve as learners. “Students teaching students” would be a model that guides students with ownership of their own learning as well as providing interaction that enhances learning. My ambition as a teacher is to inspire individual intelligence and growth in my students. I believe that students need to be consistently curious about the world and how it evolves around them. I also believe in equipping myself with the dynamics of teaching strategies that will allow me to provide and develop my students with the 21st century skills. My passion is to provide my students with the skills they need to be critical and creative thinkers and persevere in this ever-changing world.
