A detailed study on the vegetation change of Thengaithittu Mangroves, Pondicherry, India over the past 3 decades (1992-2022) by calculating NDVI using the application of GIS was carried out.

Internship was carried out on the topic “Demonstrating innovative, community driven strategy for scalable and sustainable “Universal health coverage” by reducing dependency of rural households on institutional healthcare delivery systems”.

Had participated in the analytical part of the Government programme on “Abating Pollution in the Rivers of the State” for the period from 08-02-2021 to 27-02-2021.

An extensive analysis of the vegetation change in Kerala's Nettoor Mangroves from 1992 to 2019 was conducted using GIS to calculate NDVI.

Understanding the change detection of mangroves using NDVI through the application of remote sensing was the focus of internship.

• Had conducted field study of various ecosystems like Fresh water ecosystem, Marine ecosystem and Mangrove ecosystem and prepared report based on the “Physico- chemical and biological characteristics of these ecosystems during 2018 to 2019.
• Had undertaken Environmental classes for Undergraduate students during 2018 to 2019 at Sacred Heart College, Thevara, Kerala, India.
• Conducted a study on the “Physico-chemical and biological characteristics of the sacred grove, Shantivanam”, which was under the threat of extinction. A report was prepared based on this study during June 2019.
• Had attended a National Seminar on Sustainable Development and Climate change on February 19th and 20th, 2019, conducted at Sacred Heart College, Thevara, Kerala, India.
• Had attended a 3-day (23th, 24th, and 25th July 2019) workshop on ‘Disaster management and mitigation' which was part of ‘America with Kerala project’ organized by U.S Consulate General in Chennai in cooperation with the Centre for Public Policy Research and Kerala Disaster Management Authority.
• Had prepared a Review of Literature during June 2020 on the topic “Indian Forests and its Characteristics with Respect to Forest Ecosystem”

• Had attended a short-term training program on ‘Fishery Technology, Safety at Sea and Marine Electronic Equipment’, from 25 February 2019 to 1 March 2019 at CIFNET (Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical and Engineering Training), Kochi, Kerala, India.
• Went for sailing through the Arabian Sea with the guidance from Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical and Engineering Training (CIFNET) on 6 March 2019 and carried out a biodiversity survey along the coast and identified threats to biodiversity and environment in particular coastal & marine areas.

A comparative study on the allelopathic potential of selected invasive plants by seed germination assay was conducted.
