Duties and responsibilities in the labor room and postnatal ward include,

● Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in a critical care environment

● Continuous monitoring of vital signs and CTG monitoring

● Assisting doctors in various procedures, preparing articles and the patient for the medical, gynaecological or obstetrical, and nursing procedures

● Experienced in providing prenatal exams and procedures, including pelvic exams, prenatal screenings, urine and blood sample collection

● Maintain infection control principles

● Attending doctor's rounds

● Check lab reports and inform the doctors of further order

● Complete assessment of patients and inform the changes to doctors

● Deals with any emergency with excellent problem-solving skills

● Prepare delivery rooms and the patients for procedures in a timely

● Caring and assisting the newborns and supporting the mothers in breastfeeding

● Educating the parents about care for the newborn

● Conducted Delivery and Assisted during labor and post-labor care

● Involved in cases such as missed miscarriage, d/c procedures, eclampsia, abruption placenta, cord prolapse, breech delivery, shoulder dystocia, and preterm labor.

● Participate in in-service education including, shoulder dystocia, preeclampsia, breech delivery, GDM, etc

Duties and responsibilities include,

● Monitor vital signs and ECG

● Providing CPR and handling various equipment

● Attending emergency emergency with excellent problem-solving skills

● Assisting doctors in various procedures, preparing articles and patients for the medical and nursing procedures

● Suction procedures, tracheostomy care, tube feeding and collection, and sending specimen

● Care of bedridden patient

● Maintain infection control principles

● Attending doctor's rounds

● Check lab report and inform doctors for further order

● Complete assessment of patient and inform changes to the physician

● Administration of o2, nebulization, BiPAP, and CPAP monitors as per doctor's order
