I am a hardworking, motivated, and passionate individual. I have a strong background in teaching and customer service. I am seeking a full-time opportunity to utilise my current experience to further develop myself as a teacher.
Little Guys was a newly built center that had not opened when I joined a team of five to help and support with the setup of the center. I worked collaboratively to create policies, set up the environment, and help establish practices unique to our center. Within this role, I collaborate and plan for the best possible learning outcomes for the children, work collaboratively, and support my team with their professional growth. While maintaining a high standard of health and safety. Engaging in meaningful conversations with parents and families to establish a collaborative relationship to support their children. While ensuring the day-to-day tasks run smoothly, and the children's needs are met. As we are a center that is located on a family farm, with the farm being a part of our curriculum, I have experience in outdoor learning to help children discover and explore the world around them.
Within this role, I was responsible for leading my team of four teachers while maintaining a high level of standard in our daily practices. Ensuring responsibilities are delegated fairly within the team to create an enriching and educational space in which our children can learn and thrive. Liaising with parents and management when necessary to problem-solve and provide the best outcomes for the child. I am familiar with the Te Whāriki framework, learning stories, and program planning.
Prior to my career in teaching, I worked in retail as a supervisor. Where I learnt the ability to work with time constraints, multitask, and problem-solve on the spot. As well as having the ability to build a quick rapport with people. Skills which I can utilise in my teaching career.
