As an aspiring Kaiako, I am committed to upholding Te Whāriki’s principles, reflecting the values of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and celebrating Aotearoa's cultural diversity. I see children as capable learners who thrive when their identity, language, and culture are recognized and valued. My approach to teaching is rooted in designing inclusive, engaging environments where each child is empowered to explore, question, and discover.

I emphasize nurturing the social and emotional development of tamariki, creating a warm, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. I value strong partnerships with parents and whānau, recognizing that collaboration is essential for a child’s holistic development. I support children in developing problem-solving skills, building confidence, and viewing mistakes as valuable learning opportunities. My goal is to instill a lifelong love of learning, nurturing curiosity and creativity that extends beyond the classroom.
