Summary

MNZAS Audiologist

I am an extremely empathetic person and I am passionate about supporting people so that their voices are heard. I am an extremely hard worker and thrive when working in a team. I was given the responsibility of co-supervising an over-seas trained audiologist within the first month of passing my OSCE and have greatly enjoyed this.

I am constantly studying and learning from my team. I believe that I can learn from every person I meet.

  • Performed visual field testing of central and peripheral vision, using the visual fields machine to detect any dysfunction in the patient’s vision
  • Dispensed single vision glasses: Firstly, a dispenser takes a handover from optometrists and then sitting down with the patient to work out the most financially viable options based on the optometrist’s recommendation. Secondly, frame styling involves helping customers choose frames appropriate to their prescription. Thirdly, the dispense lastly uses specialised equipment and software to measure the patient’s pupil distance in the frame
  • Performed preliminary Testing: Welcoming patients in to the clinic, explaining the process of getting an eye check, and using specialised equipment to get preliminary measurements for the optometrists.
  • Ordered and dispensed contact lenses, as well as teaching patients how to use them
  • Provided excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly, promoting customer loyalty.
