  • In my time here I have led the development and growth of not only a slowing sports programme as Director of sport, but I have been key in the development of some of the up and coming young teachers within the school, and in the PE/Health department
  • Growing our team as Head of Department in my opinion is one of my most important roles
  • I’m a transformational leader, looking to develop the strongest department possible, and as a result, members of my department are now gaining units within the pastoral care area and elsewhere
  • At the end of my first term at Marcellin College, I was given the role of Year 12 Lead Dean

  • In my time at Kelston Boys High School I have had many opportunities to lead in different areas of the school
  • In one of my roles as Lead Dean I was working with a team of 8 members of staff, who are responsible for the pastoral care of 162 year 11 students
  • I worked closely with their families, relevant organisations and the greater community to ensure the support of all of our students and particularly those of higher pastoral and educational needs
  • As a Head of Health I worked at developing new programmes more responsive to the individual needs of students in both junior and senior health, by completely rebuilding the health programme and providing them with the best opportunities for success
  • I also utilised this role to help develop the teachers within my subject area to improving day to day teaching practice and pedagogy
  • As a teacher, I currently have a ‘Senior-Heavy’ timetable due to my ability to teach in different assessment formats, my ability to gain outstanding results within the department and school
