Summary

A charismatic experienced current crane operator/ class 5 driver a former deep sea fish trawling deck hand member/high rise EWP steel erector and a extra hand for lineman rigging in the windy welly.

KIA ORA, I am Shane, currently residing in Wellington, My current hours of work ranges inbetween 50-70hrs per week, which takes a lot of time away from my family (3 kids, wife and mother) but being in the industry of a professional taxi crane business who leads the lower north island, me and 20 other comrades, strive to be the best. With wellington city as our as our work place, we have gradually mastered the tight hilly terrain, and tested the winds strength, our reputation for health and safety is elite, complemented by completion, this draws in all types of cliental. Having worked side by side on the tools with old hands and new hands, from franchises like Merridian Energy, Transpower and ventia, has given me confidence for applying for this position.

Having the ability to recall knowledge from personal experiences and sticky situations gives me the courage to share this information, to help plan a safer and easier method of approach, from any stage of the task at hand, no question is a silly question, the more ideas the better, speak up if you think something could go wrong.

I have personally seen and experienced my fair share of incidents, accidents and serious accidents. My safety mentallity plays a part in my everyday life during and after work. I am very lucky to have had mentors who were the best of the best in there feild at the time (tower crane erectors) My work ethic, technique, work position, awareness, ability to adapt under pressure, and applying safe work practices comfortably in all weather conditions, were passed down from them, i was already punctual, very reliable and efficient, making me fit in well with others, whom were on the same level. It also helped that my current employer had me OSHA-trained and fully compliant to N.Z standard.

HEIGHTS AND HARNESS, EWP, HEAVY TRUCK AND TRAILER, WIDE AND OVERSIZED LOADS, PILOT, HI-AB, MOBILE CRANE LICENCE, FIRST AID LVL 2, just to name few, they can easily dispatch me out me out to assist with big jobs anytime anywhere for any company.

the skills i possess and the experience i've been through plus the knowledge i have collected, will contribute towards any work place i may attend.

Currently i love my job, i have the title of a specialised rigger i am also the operator for our 50ton rough terrain crane. We do something different everyday literally, i can lead a team, join a team and work independantly, i know what to do, and when to do it. Its a team effort and everyone has their position. we all look out for each other and we all go home together.

My experience working with transpower/merridain proves that we all have the same values, their safety factor is alot simmilar to ours, with safety observers doing thier job ensuring every body is complying to the JSEA to date, live yards to be treated with extreme caution and all the paper work that follows, tail gates etc

I believe i can navigate and adapt to the protocals of TOP ENERGY, and be a real asset towards the company if given the chance.
