I chose to study a Diploma in Culinary Arts Level 5 in New Zealand so that I can become a qualified chef at an international level. I have previously owned my own restaurant, and this has motivated me to pursue a professional qualification in cooking, so that I can improve my skills and improve my opportunities for growth in the culinary industry. I am so happy when people enjoy my food. It is a highlight for me, and I would love to make a living out of doing what I love. During my studies, and within my previous role in the restaurant, I have gained skills in different types of food preparation as well as knife skills, food safety and hygiene and the ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen. I am reliable, passionate and hard-working, and I have a positive attitude towards life. I am very excited to continue gaining skills and knowledge of this industry and would love a role in a professional kitchen where I can learn alongside senior chefs. My aim for the future is to become the best Chef I can be and continue to bring joy to people with my cooking.
