As a Quantity Surveyor, I manage multiple projects throughout the year, overseeing their progress to ensure they stay on track and within budget. Currently, I am responsible for projects with a combined value of approximately $50 million. Detailed job responsibilities as below:

• Prepare take-offs for architectural and structural works to prepare cost estimates for projects
• Review project specifications, architectural/engineering drawings, and tender documents to identify scope, risks, and opportunities
• Advise on tendering, contract, procurement procedures and arrangements
• Cost advice at all stages from drafting process and during projects
• Review tender vs issued for construction drawings and advice changes to Project manager
• Prepare monthly progressive payment claim, along-with offsite and onsite schedules, review and sign offsite contractor schedules
• Invoice claims and reconcile monthly accounts
• Prepare Work in Progress report, end of month stock report, Purchase vs sale report
• Settle final payments and close accounts

As reinforcing estimator in one of largest steel supplier in NZ it was my duty to prepare accurate take-offs and assess which developments would be the best to proceed with, based on what they would cost to complete, how long they will take and what profit margins would be gained from them. I have 100% profitable estimation rate. Detailed job responsibilities as below:

• Reading and interpreting architectural and structural construction plan and completing detailed estimates of steel reinforcing, mesh, bar chairs, tie wire and freight, and from these producing tender submissions, quotations and estimates in a timely and accurate manner
• Analyze project specs, drawings, and tenders to define scope, assess risks, and identify cost or value opportunities.
• Develop options and recommend best value solutions based on cost, engineering, quality, or availability of materials
• Ensure estimates comply with relevant standards, codes, and client requirements.
• Administration work, assisting with invoicing and queries
• Aid and support to company personnel, especially ensuring adequate lead times are in place for detailing and factory to manufacture
• Liaising with customers, managing expectations and balancing workloads
• Produce and provide mill certs when requested by client and ensure relevant records are maintained

Vida Precast is a small company that is dependent on limited leadership team where I took on various key roles to ensure project success, which includes project management, quality assurance, drafting, estimation, payment claims, variation claims, procurements & project coordination. Therefore, managing different projects throughout the years, interacting with different clients daily developed my career focus towards Project Management. Detailed job responsibilities as below:

• Prepare estimates/take-offs for manufacturing precast units and reinforcing by using civil, architectural, structural drawings and project specifications.
• Review project specifications, architectural/engineering drawings, and tender documents to identify scope, risks, and opportunities.
• Maintain historical cost data to support future tenders and improve estimating accuracy.
• Liaise with project consultants and contractors in relation to design changes and shop drawing approvals
• Ensure all approved for construction shop drawings align with architectural and structural designs before handing it over to production Manager
• Provide production plan and project delivery schedule to production manager and steel-fixers
• Procure material required to complete projects within specification and on time
• Analyse QA docs and keep records of all stages of precast fabrication, to test and examine any materials, goods, and workmanship to be used by the precast fabrication in connection with the precast production
• Liaise with steel fixers on planned production strategy and QA Reo cages before going into mould
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, in budget, within architectural and structural specifications.

• Create accurate shop drawings for manufacturing precast units with AutoCAD. Coordinate with Architects, Engineers, and Site Managers for approval of shop drawings
• Amendments to shop drawings according to marked-up drawings received from architects and engineers
• Prepare detailed bar schedule for cutting and bending steel
• Maintain communication with production teams and ensure project is built accurately
• Collect and analyze data from structural and architectural drawings for carrying out computation
• Perform daily pre-pour and post-pour inspection of precast products
• Supervise steel fixers, assign them daily precast drawings, help them achieve deadlines
• Inspect steel cages prior going into production factory and advise steel fixers regarding changes/fixes
