• Consulting and educating clients about their skin journey aspirations and carefully advising appropriate treatments.

• Consenting clients and ensuring they are aware of all the risks and adverse effects.

• Performing antiwrinkle (Botox & Xeomin), filler (Juverderm, Beletero & Profhilo) and CO2 Fractional laser treatments.

· Monitoring vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, respiration rate, pulse rate and weight.

· General medication round, wound checks and wellness checks

· Entering on the database, all relevant documentation for each resident on the shift.

Cosmetic nursing, including IPL, Laser, and all other energy-based devices.

Assisting medical practitioners with injectables including drawing up of toxins, taking pre- and post-treatment photographs, informing clients of pre and post treatment expectations, applying medical grade numbing cream, performing LED light treatments post treatment if required.

Endoscopy:

Pre-admission calls to patients, qualifying all patient details and educating them on the preparation required prior to surgery.

Pre-surgery admission – Checking patient details, ensuring all forms correctly filled out, gowning, patient’s personal items stored safely, IV-line insertion, theatre procedure information explained.

Theatre – delegated to one of three positions in theatre, medication, endoscopy camera operator or documentation (handed over patient details and summary of surgery to post-surgical nurse).

Post-surgical nurse – stabilise patient, check out patient and educating them on the next 48 hours of personal care.

My clinical strengths include scrubbing and circulating independently for increasingly complicated procedures.

My areas of competence include ENT, general surgery (laparotomy, laparoscopic procedures), endoscopy, orthopaedic and acute trauma.

Additionally, I have scrubbed for several trauma arthroplasties.
