"Big Sister" to 12 year old girl who has fetal alcohol spectrum disorder. We spent time baking, creating, visiting the library and swimming.
Client casework, reports to management, SWiS presentations to school staff, assessments with families, reviews with families, liaising and networking with services across the West Coast, facilitate/ coordinate programmes such as friendship and emotions programmes and teaching children mindfulness strategies.
Creating assessments to understand the rangatahi and their place in their famillies and socitety. Using these assessments to help inform goal plans for rangatahi with their voice being front and centre. During this role I praticed cognitive behaviour therapy, dialetical behaviour therapy and exposure therapy to name a few.

Mainly worked in the office, checking in guests, directing them to their accommodation. Other duties included washing linen, preparing linen for cleaners, and working as a cleaner when needed. I worked here on and off for multiple years while at high school and while completing my social work degree.
