I am currently in a Community Engagement role with the Animal Management team.

• This involves me doing dog safety talks and presentations with the community, schools and other organisations
• Educating dog owners on how to be responsible and prevent any future incidents by their dogs
• Serving disqualification and probationary notices to dog owners
• Setting up presentations with organizations
• Educating the community
• Visiting and following up with dog owners
• Filing and administration
• Talking face to face and over the phone
• Training new staff
• Taking on acting senior roles when required

I wanted more compliance and investigation experience so I made the decision to join Auckland Council as part of the Animal Management team.

• This role involves me doing a range of tasks such as investigations, dealing with direct conflict and putting together prosecution files against serious offences
• Administration work regarding reports, data entry, information gathering
• Issuing infringement notices and formal warnings to offenders
• Communicating with clients and working to resolve the problem
• Dealing with tough situations and conflict
• Investigating complaints and compliance
• Assisting police and other agencies
• Being able to adapt in any environment and situation
• Managing animals and understanding their behaviour
• Being confident dealing with risk based scenarios
• Working under pressure and on tight deadlines
• Passing on awareness to the community with knowledge on laws and regulations

I was employed by the Aviation Security Service as a warranted officer at the Auckland Airport.

• My role had me doing a variety of jobs from x-raying bags to dealing with restricted items and conflict
• Interacting with passengers is the focal point of my job as I always aim to please the passengers so they can leave the airport hassle free and happy
• I was an on the job trainer and acting team leader as well as a dedicated team member
• Other skills includes:

I have worked at the Papakura (SAS) Military Camp for the NZ Defence Force.

• My role was to maintain an all-round base of defence for the camp as it was vital for us to protect the camp from all types of threats including: Breaking and Entering, Burglary and malicious intents

I served in the New Zealand Army for 3 years as a Rifleman, this was something I had been working myself towards from a younger age as my dream career goal.
