With a deep passion for outdoor experiences and a commitment to team success, I am focused on creating meaningful and impactful outdoor programs that engage and motivate participants. I am driven by the desire to lead and mentor others, fostering personal growth amongst a team, and having a strong sense of community. As a dedicated member of the Tihoi team for the past four years I have built upon my existing experiences in the industry and I have a strong foundation in outdoor skills and team collaboration. I am now eager to take the next step in my career by applying my leadership and organisational skills to manage, develop and inspire others in a Chief Instructor role.
In my current role at Tihoi, I enjoy delivering high level programs to enhance our students' personal growth, using the Outdoors as accelerant for social development. Working alongside other experienced staff gives the opportunity for professional development every week, which I am immensely passionate about .
At Voyageur Quest, near Algonquin Park, I guided 3-5 day canoe tours and led Duke of Edinburgh groups. Leveraging my sea kayak instructor qualifications, I also planned and guided 3-4 day sea kayak trips in Georgian Bay.
At Kahunui, an Eastern Bay of Plenty residential program, I coached Year 10 girls in social skills and self-development through outdoor activities and sustainable living. This experience enhanced my social, emotional, and coaching abilities through building strong student relationships.
