  • Observe and identify shy feeder that do not get an adequate amount of feed and work with the other stockman to move shy feeder to separate or hospital pin where they can receive preferential feeding.
  • Assist the veterinarian as required in the treatment of Hospital pin cattle on board.
  • Accurately use Gallagher equipment to record treatments, drugs used for treatment and their withholding period.
  • Prepare daily data sheet to monitor treatments and to ensure accurate records of treatments. Monitor and record any incidents, potential incidents or activities that could be improved or rectified in future shipments.
  • I was responsible for providing appropriate care and management of the livestock on board during the Voyage. Senior Stockman must remain with the consignment until the vessel has completed discharge at the final port of discharge
