• Working collaboratively with Senior Crown Counsel to draft legal opinions and advice to government clients on Treaty issues and Crown-Māori relations.
• Developing the Crown's litigation strategy in several contexts, including inquiries in the Waitangi and court proceedings, alongside internal and external counsel.
• Participating in and leading meetings with key government clients, including senior departmental and ministerial officials.

• Providing and presenting high-quality, clear, and pragmatic legal advice on competition, fair trading, and administrative law matters to key decision-makers.
• Working collaboratively alongside senior legal counsel and Competition and Fair Trading branch business partners, such as investigators and economists, to develop a theory of the case and litigation strategy.
• Managing the Commission’s routine litigation matters, advising on a range of merger clearance and authorisation applications, cartel and restrictive trade practices investigations, market studies, as well as the application of the Official Information Act of 1982 and the Privacy Act of 2020.

Key notable outputs include:

• Lead counsel on the Commission’s intervention in proceedings under the amended misuse of market power provision, including writing submissions, briefs, and instructing external counsel.
• Key drafter of the Commission’s Collaboration and Sustainability Guidelines.
• Authoring several Commission submissions to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.

• Provided high-quality legal research, drafting, and advice to Māori Land Court judges on complex land applications, Tribunal reports, as well as inquiry procedure and practice.
• Drafted and edited chapters of the Tribunal district and urgent inquiries, such as Oranga Tamariki, Northland, and Te Rohe Pōtae reports.
• Honed my knowledge of Te Ao Māori, Te Reo Māori, mātauranga Māori, and tikanga.

• Assisted on a range of criminal, civil, and commercial law at a leading New Zealand litigation firm, and developed a keen interest in public law, regulatory law, and criminal prosecution.
• Drafted several sentencing submissions and participated in the Litigation Skills program, excelling at advocacy and mooting.

• Co-designed and implemented a first-year student engagement program aimed at fostering community and support networks within the Arts Faculty; leading a team of volunteer mentors and acting as the central liaison between mentors and the University senior management.

• Assisted in the U.S. Consulate's media and educational outreach programs (event management, writing, and editing publications), and administrative duties.
