• I have returned home to Whaingaroa to my whanau for the purpose of acknowledging, developing and broadening the knowledge base of my identity as a Māori in today's world.
• My journey will involve learning the language (reo), developing my knowledge of Māori values and customs (tikanga and kawa). In order to achieve these learnings, I am required to first learn and develop my knowledge base of my family history (Whakapapa) in no other place than with my family and grandparents (whanau and tupuna)
