Proven expertise in indigenous issues, Te Tiriti o Waitangi and expanding area of knowledges concerned with settler history, education, justice, healing frameworks and critical thinking in Aotearoa New Zealand. These expertise have grown and continue to be developed overtime, in my roles within Massey University and Te Atakura Educators, and most importantly, in the roles and responsibilities I have to my communities at home, the strategic development of our people, and the obligations we have to Papatuanuku (mother earth), her surrounding oceans/waterways and the lives within.
Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to assist in the Te Tiriti Capability Development goals and aspirations of the universitity. Te Tiriti o Waitangi is the teina document Māori signed with British settlers here in Aotearoa in 1840, that then allowed British citizenship with our nations. Massey University aspires to be Te Tiriti-led, and a part of our team's role is to assist in the implementation of those aspirations.
