Stars Programme Peer Mentor

Greame Dingle Foundation
01.2022 - 12.2022

The Stars programme is a mentoring programme run by the Graeme Dingle Foundation
Marlborough. I applied for and was selected as one of the senior peer mentors.
This programme involved a regular commitment from me to plan, run, and evaluate
mentoring sessions for a class of Year 9 students at Marlborough Girls' College - over and
above my schoolwork and other commitments.
I helped facilitate lessons on key life skills like goal setting, time management, good
communication skills and building positive relationships.
Through Stars I learned to:
 Plan effective peer support lessons.
 Develop and demonstrate leadership skills during the facilitation of group sessions, and
at an adventure camp.
 Evaluate my skills and the success of lessons I facilitated.
