Participate in an academic project at client, part of the Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DST), to investigate the application of Natural Language Processing (NLP) to maritime security analysis. Design and implement a text summary model to automatically extract key events from reports to improve maritime situational Python and NLP libraries for text pre-processing and key information extraction. Write technical documentation for projects and demonstrate system functionality and results to clients.

Developed a booking management system called CabsOnline based on HTML, JavaScript and PHP to support user booking and administrator management functions. Designed a database (MySQL) to store booking information for dynamic query and data visualisation. Used Trello for task management to simulate the actual software development process. Through this project, I improved my front-end and back-end interaction skills and familiarised myself with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
