I am a person who is very passionate about the arable sector in New Zealand. I strive to make a career in this industry. I work efficiently and effectively by myself and with team members. I enjoy talking to farm owners and making those connections that could help one day in the future. I am eager to learn more about this industry and will always be striving to gain knowledge and be the best I can possibly be. I do not shy away from a challenge and I am always striving to be better and learn new things. I aspire to be a crop farmer one day myself so believe it is important to experience all aspects of the industry. I do believe that the passion for the industry is reflected in my work.

  • Operated farm equipment such as tractors, combine harvesters, windrowers and trucks in an efficient manner
  • Maintained and repaired fences, buildings and other farm structures.
  • Checked farmland for issues in need of attention, such as fences to mend and broken pipes to fix.
  • Performed regular maintenance to keep farm equipment in safe working order.
  • Monitored and maintained irrigation systems.
  • Oversaw feeding, watering and health monitoring of store lambs.
  • I have been completing Rouging to gain certification in named crops down below for the past 6 years
  • Completed Rouging in perennial ryegrass for annual and Italian ryegrass, wild oats and other pest species.
  • Completed Rouging in specialist seed crops (carrots, spinach, radish, pak choi and swiss chard) for wild off types and pests (wild carrot, wild radish, wild oats, mellow, parsley dropwort and other pest species).

  • Ability to deal with people and motivate people even when completing monotonous jobs.
  • Operate around chemicals and hazardous areas in a safe responsible manor.
