  • I work part time on the surgical ward nursing patients post operatively. I review patients and continuously monitor vital signs, PCA, IV fluids, pain management, administer medication and mobilise patients. I also assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care with Surgeons/Anesthetists/ Nurse practitioners. I educate patient and whanau regularly on pain management and discharge information. As a senior nurse I also educate students and new nurses on the ward.
