Qualified Industrial Electrician, with experience in both major and minor projects construction and commissioning.
Trained and competent in EEHA (Electrical Engineering in Hazardous Areas) with EWRB hazardous areas endorsed practicing license.
Industrial Instrumentation Apprentice with experience in calibration, preventative maintenance, critical trip testing and commissioning.
Began my instrumentation apprenticeship in Jan 2025 where I further worked on installation of instrumentation in new projects, preventative maintenance, plant outages, safety critical element testing and commissioning of geothermal and hydro power station instrumentation and control systems.
Worked primarily in the geothermal power generation sites across the Taupo region, including the construction of two new stations and associated steamfields, plant outages and critical trip testing, hazardous area inspection and upgrade projects and most significantly was appointed supervisor for the EC&I construction and commissioning of 3x production and 3x reinjection wells across 3 geothermal steamfields.
Other significant work includes installation of gas detectors in a paper mill, hazardous area instrumentation upgrade of a dairy factory and the installation and maintenance of drilling rig water intake instrumentation.
Began my electrical apprenticeship with the construction and FAT testing of numerous DeltaV DCS control panels and expanded to site work across a number of different industries including chemical, pulp and paper, freshwater treatment, and natural gas distribution.
I was also seconded to the City Rail Link project in Auckland for 6 months, during the second tunnel drive of their tunnel boring machine, where I was responsible for tunnel lighting and ventilation, 11kV trailing lead extensions, tower crane breakdown support and surface site maintenance.
