I am an experienced and dedicated Senior Tree Officer, currently managing tree maintenance and arboricultural operations for Auckland Council, covering both the city and outer suburbs. Since 2019, I have been responsible for overseeing all aspects of tree management, including budget control, maintenance delivery, and ensuring the health and safety of the city's green spaces. My role involves being the primary point of contact for tree-related inquiries within my area, and I regularly liaise with the public, local government, and stakeholders to ensure the effective management of our urban forest. With a strong background in arboriculture, I manage a wide range of tasks including tree planting, pruning, and removal, as well as reviewing and preparing reports, I am also responsible for carrying out Level 1, 2 and 3 inspections on public trees and expected to deliver said inspections in a report form that can be clearly communicated to members of council and the wider public. I also deliver monthly updates to local government, ensuring that the arboricultural needs of the city are met and communicated clearly. My comprehensive experience allows me to work efficiently in balancing the environmental, aesthetic, and community needs of Auckland's trees, contributing to the sustainability and vitality of our urban environment.
