My current position is at Wellington Sexual Health Cuba Street Clinic where I work full time as Sexual Health Nurse & contact tracing nurse.
My work here is many providing PrEP to our MSM community, treating STI’s, teaching the year 5 Medical Student’s from Otago re genital examinations. I also work on the Outreach Clinic at Porirua. I am also on the on-call register for Sexual Assault services which I cover one weekend a month.
I am Cold Chain lead & an authorised vaccinator for adolescents & adults working on Mpox clinics & Hep B & Gardasil.
I worked clinically at KYS in Paraparaumu & at outreach clinic in Otaki. I did school-based nursing having a weekly clinic at Otaki College. While there I worked with many young people doing HEADSS assessments so we could best plan their care which often involved referrals to CAMHS or MAIDS.
I also provided Health Promotion & education in the college. I was very involved in supporting Gender Affirming Health Care for Project Youth (LGBTQIA)
I was lead nurse on the MMR catch up programme & planned and ran the Covid clinics.

I was responsible for the coordination of the Public Health Nursing Team to deliver the new vaccine Gardasil in all the schools covering the Midcentral DHB. This involved extensive communication with schools & parents. I also had to rigorously manage the cold chain to ensure safe delivery of the vaccine.
