  • I actively serve as a Volunteer Firefighter for the Tokomaru Volunteer Fire Brigade, responding to approximately 30-50 callouts annually, which encompass various emergencies occurring during the working day, nights, and weekends.
  • I fulfill primary duties as a firefighter, responding to emergencies including Vegetation Fires, House Fires, Car Accidents, and Medical Events, demonstrating quick thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure.
  • Serve as the Brigade Secretary, assisting with administrative tasks such as record-keeping, documentation, and correspondence, ensuring efficient communication and organization within the brigade.
  • Manage social media platforms as the Brigade Social Media Admin, this allows us to enhance community outreach and share critical safety information to the public.
  • Within this role, I collaborate closely with fellow firefighters and other emergency services personnel, building a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and mutual support.
  • I participate in ongoing training and professional development programs to maintain and enhance firefighting skills.
