Summary

I am a hardworking, reliable, responsible, mechanically minded apprentice who is able to work independently or as part of a work group.

I enjoy the challenge of getting stuck into a new job and enjoy seeing the end goal of a dead machine which can now be used in a reliable manner.

It is exciting to craft metal into mechanical components that the customer has specified in their brief.

I'm always looking to learn new skills and to experience new adventures.

I like to set goals for myself and I enjoy the challenge of completing the task to a high standard in the specified time limit.

I have a full Drivers Licence and can drive manual as well as automatic cars.

I also have a Motorbike Licence and I have built a motorbike from scratch at SIT.

I am particularly skilful at building ground up restorations of Suzuki SJ413 models for road use standard as well as off road use.

Building cars and motorbikes

I bought an old Suzuki, got it home, stripped it back to bare bones, did rust repairs and bought all the parts I needed to get it back into a reliable, running state.

I also bought an old bike when I was 16; stripped it down, did up the motor, painted the chassis and bought in parts to make it reliable enough for me to use as a trail bike.

I am currently working on four other Suzuki SJ413's and two LN 106 Hi Luxes.
