Work History

Tyre Fitter

AB Equipment
04.2024 - 03.2025

My role at AB Equipment was a Tyre Fitter, mainly focused on distribution and installation of solid and pneumatic tires for heavy machinery in warehouses, car yards, airports etc.

Some of the key responsibilities I had whilst at AB were :

  • Removing old tires and installing brand new Continental tyres on machines, ensuring smooth operation and safety.
  • Inspect, repair and patch any damaged tyres to make sure they are up to safety standards
  • Operating a 7t + jack , powertools, handtools, hydraulic press machine, counterbalance and reach truck daily, in the warehouse and on customer sites.
  • Providing excellent customer service with tyre options, pricing, and maintenance most suitable for the customer
  • Managing inventory, assisting in keeping a organized and efficient stock system.

Steel Worker

RNZ
09.2023 - 01.2024
  • I worked as a Steel worker as my first full time job after leaving school. I worked for my Uncle and his company and we were building a new hospital big enough for medical support to the entire region and a Heli-pad for accidents that take place near or on Mt Taranaki. I worked in a team of 8 as a laborer which meant pre-building structures to be installed on the building, always making sure my team had enough bolts and batteries, safely stropping up steel to the crane and successfully guiding the operator where he needs to go. This wasn't a long job but I learnt many valuable skills from my time here such as working as a team to achieve a goal, taking initiative, how to dog a crane and more.
