Troy Mason

I began my Apprenticeship in 2021 in being a Heavy Diesel Mechanic( Road transport) I have since completed this apprenticeship in November 2023.

Working at Prestige International I have been fortunate enough to have worked on multiple different brands of trucks, the main ones including International, Iveco, Kenworth, Foton and scania. The work included full servicing, brake and wheel bearing overhauls, clutch replacements and many other driveline diagnostics and maintenance/ rebuilds

My time at prestige also consisted of trailer maintenance and repairs including ABS diagnosing, bushing replacements, full brake relines and axle overhauls on fuel tankers trailers, semi trailers, B-trains and many more.

During my time at Marine Diesel Solutions I got to be involved in servicing and maintenance of low end inboard diesel boats to high end 70ft plus launch's and the occasional super yacht. Majority of engines in these boats were Detriots, Cummins and Yanmar. I got to be apart of many boat repowers removing old tired diesel engines and refitting brand new Yanmar inboards due to us being a Yanmar agent. Being in this trade i also have a fair amount of experience with prop shafts, replacing through hull bearings, checking with dial gauges to check straightness of shafts and much more.
